I'm Luiza — a Senior Product Designer with a background spanning broadcast motion design, marketing, and over five years focused specifically on product, UX, and design systems. I've worked across Brazil, Portugal, and Belgium — for banks, telecoms, AI companies, agencies, NATO, and my own startup. Brazilian-Portuguese, based in Brussels, with two dogs (Cora and Lily) who supervise most of my work sessions.

Led product strategy and UX for a stealth-mode AI platform (LLMs, ML, NLP, OCR) for medical imaging anomaly detection — owning vision, roadmap, and delivery planning. Defined brand, design system, and UX methodology from zero.
Head of Design for a product agency — line-managing a team of designers and overseeing cross-functional delivery teams across multiple simultaneous client programmes in tech, real estate, pharma, and SaaS.

Led video editing and motion graphics production; delivered cross-platform campaign assets including collaborations with Disney and international broadcast partners.
Managed a two-person internal team and external vendors across VFX productions including The Voice Brasil/Kids and Big Brother Brasil. Coordinated production workflows under tight broadcast deadlines. Emmy Award–winning newsroom team (2011).
PUC-Rio is a Jesuit-founded university built on a liberal-arts backbone — even inside a design degree, the curriculum insists on critical thinking, ethics, and social responsibility alongside craft. The Industrial Design programme treats design as research: methodical, human-centred, and accountable to the people it affects, not just the object it produces. That grounding is where the "why" behind my design decisions still comes from.
EDIT is the opposite instinct: unapologetically applied, built by and for the industry it feeds. Courses are taught by practitioners, projects are scoped like real briefs, and the whole philosophy is "portfolio over theory" — you leave with proof of work, not just a diploma. It's where I formally converted a decade of motion and visual design instincts into product and UX methodology.
1st place, Network Factual Reporting category, for the newsroom's coverage on Jornal Nacional: "Pakistan Hideout / Bin Laden." Part of the internal VFX and graphics team behind the broadcast.

Nestmate exists because "just talk about it" doesn't actually fix how chores and mental load get split at home. Most couples don't have a division-of-labour problem so much as a visibility problem — one person ends up holding every list, every date, every "did we run out of…" in their head, and it quietly turns into resentment. That gets worse, not better, when a partner's brain works differently — ADHD or other executive-function differences mean "just ask them" often lands as criticism instead of a fix. Generic to-do apps were never built for any of this: they don't know what a household is, let alone a partnership.
